This inexpensive thermometer has good accuracy, good readability, and easy-to-operate buttons, but has a very slow response time. It cannot be left in the oven while cooking.
If response time is not important for you, this might be a good choice. It has good accuracy, the display is easy to read, and there is a Hold button. The probe sheath can attach over the probe to protect it, or over the back end of the thermometer to increase its length and facilitate hanging it around your neck with the supplied lanyard. It also has a belt clip on the back of the main unit. The probe length is on the short side at just over 3″ (80mm). It will auto-shutoff to conserve batteries.
The manufacturer’s contact information is printed on the packaging material. The unit comes with a one year limited warranty. The only instructions are on the package, although they are straightforward.
We liked this thermometer for several reasons, but the slow response time makes it a questionable choice for some users, especially barbecue cooks.
