This inexpensive probe has acceptable accuracy and response time. It cannot be left in the oven while cooking.
Along with the on/off button, there is a F/C selector, a min/max button and a hold button. If you use this probe often and can remember the position of the buttons, or if you have incredible eyesight, pressing the correct button will be easy, but the print on the buttons is nearly microscopic. There is no backlight and the readout size is small, making this unit difficult to use in dim light. The instructions are printed on the back of the card that doubles as the packaging rear.
Like many of these generic products, it has no warranty or contact information. If it fails, you’re out of luck. There are better products in this price range that offer consumer support in case of difficulty.
