Matt hails from the great state of Texas where his love of BBQ runs deep. He grew up cooking and learning from his Grandma June and has spent his life around food ever since. He got seriously involved in the BBQ space after taking a trip to Central Texas to taste the real stuff. One bite of brisket and he was hooked. From thereon out, BBQ became his lifestyle.
Prior to his deep dive into the world of BBQ, Matt was a technology management executive in the financial services space for over 20 years. He took that experience and began building the Meat Church brand from the ground up.
Today, Meat Church is a unique lifestyle brand that offers some of the most popular craft BBQ seasonings, apparel, recipe development & live-fire cooking instruction in the world. Meat Church also has one of the largest social media reaches in outdoor cooking.
